Don’t miss this one! Dr. Sue Barry is a neuroscientist and a Professor at Mt. Holyoke College. In this video, she discusses how vision therapy transformed not only her vision, but her beliefs about the neuroplasticity of the adult brain. My favorite part is how she describes discovering the beauty of 3 dimensional vision in her everyday world– the sink faucet, the snowfall, the trees. What’s your favorite part?
Amblyopia (Lazy Eye), Binocular Vision, In The News
A great testament to the powers of vision therapy and the life-changing experiences it offers. Thanks and congrats to Dr. Sue!
Dr Sue Barry’s story was very moving, inspiring and humorous at times. My 5 year old son has had 3 squint surgeries and we held off on the recommended fourth. I’ve touched base with a vision therapist at my alma mater, the University of New South Wales in Sydney Australia. She will direct her students in vision therapy at the kid’s optometry clinic. I am encouraged by Dr Barry’s success and I hope my son also succeeds at vision therapy to gain 3D vision. Again, I’m very happy to have watched the video of Dr Barry’s experience.
