We are only a few months away from the 50th Annual COVD meeting in beautiful Toronto, Canada. The excellent Pre Meeting courses are rapidly filling up* (check them out on https://covd2020.org/premeeting-education) and the outstanding lineup of general education and vision therapist education presenters is now finalized. As you make plans to take part in this year’s meeting, I would like to remind everybody of an important housekeeping item.

For those of us who do not usually travel internationally to the annual COVD meetings, passports are not required. However, this year, those of us coming from outside Canada will require passports. I would encourage those who need a passport, to check it now to make sure it is current. You only have to pay an exorbitant fee to expedite a passport renewal once in order to appreciate the value of being prepared early… nuff said. You can find more travel information https://covd2020.org/travel

One additional note: a number of our colleagues tell me they come to the COVD Annual Meeting, not only for the outstanding lectures and the informative exhibit hall but, as importantly, for the camaraderie and the “feeling of family” for which COVD is known. COVD supports this family atmosphere by negotiating a block of rooms at one hotel. This year the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto is the official hotel for our meeting. COVD has negotiated a discounted room rate, which not only provides attendees easy access to the education program and exhibit hall, but also allows for unparalleled networking opportunities. Be sure to Book online before March 30th.
