I met Dr. Matthew Anderson in the Exhibit Hall.  Dr. Anderson practices in Winnipeg, Manitoba.   He graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and joined his father’s primary care practice.  In 2008, he decided to bring vision therapy into the practice.  He is proud of the practice he has built and is focusing on reaching even more patients.

Dr. Anderson’s practice sees patients across the developmental optometry spectrum: children with learning problems, adults with double vision, people with special needs, and patients of all ages recovering from concussions and other acquired brain injuries. Dr. Anderson appreciated the myriad of educational opportunities at the 2018 Annual Meeting, both formal and informal, and enjoyed conversations with colleagues from all over the world. He couldn’t wait to get back to work so he could start “playing with his drum” (as in, optokinetic nystagmus drum) and incorporating more vestibular activities into his therapy programs.

After his trip to Washington for COVD 2018, Dr. Anderson was also looking forward to spending time with his 6 children, ages 2-16. Have a great summer, Dr. Anderson, hope to see you in Kansas City in 2019!
