Nam Su Kim is an optometrist from Busan S. Korea. He is part of COVD’s growing Korean family and a member of their board of directors. This is his 3rd trip to COVD’s annual meeting. Nam Su Kim has a growing vision therapy practice which he opened in November. He is working with all types of patients and hopes to expand by working with more patients with brain injuries. That’s why he took Dr. Baxstrom’s Applied Concepts course here in Jacksonville. When asked, what is the hardest part of practicing vision therapy in Korea, he said, “the relationship with ophthalmologists is complicated.” You might have see him in the exhibit hall. He was planning on purchasing a good amount of equipment to take back to Korea, starting with 20 vectograms! When not building his practice, he loves to play badminton and golf (thankfully no one told him that there are at least 20 golf courses in Jacksonville!).
