Congratulations Dr. Joel Zaba! Dr. Zaba received the Virginia Optometric Association 2015 Distinguished Achievement Award, “in recognition of his long standing and continuous commitment and service to the optometric profession and the visual welfare of the public.” He was also recognized by Inside Business: The Hampton Roads Business Journal as a 2015 Health Care Hero. “Inside Business recognizes those in health care industry who epitomize the word ‘hero’. These awards were started to salute excellence, encourage innovation, offer examples of best practices, raiseawareness in the community, enhance the quality of health care and recognize deserving individuals and organization within the industry.”
Dr. Zaba has been helping children in and out of his office for many years. He is a clinician, an educator, a writer, and a tireless advocate for underserved populations. And of course, he is Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development! Thank you Dr. Zaba.
